Typography Motion Graphics all in Houdini

After a falling out with Adobe I became interested in doing everything in Houdini. To push the limits I tried doing typography motion graphics, which is not really something 3D software excels at. However, with the new Copernicus nodes I thought of a possible pipeline and gave it a shot.

After simulating some font geometry I rasterized it in cops and applied some animated textures. I then rendered it out and encoded it with FFMPEG in TOPs. With this I was able to bypass both After Effects and Adobe Media Encoder.

Definitely not the ideal way of working, but it was actually pretty quick and fun to do.
